gender Therapy for teens & adults
"The disconnect between how I feel and how others see me makes it hard to even leave the house some days."
"Every time I look in the mirror, I feel disconnected from the person staring back at me."
"I’m overwhelmed by the fear that I’ll never feel at peace with myself."
Sound familiar?
I see you.
Are you feeling uncertain about your gender identity and wondering where to turn for support?
Maybe you’ve started to notice those creeping thoughts that you might not be the gender you were assigned at birth. Perhaps you’ve tried experimenting with how you express yourself—through clothing, pronouns, or presentation—but it’s left you feeling even more confused. You might feel disappointed, even heartbroken, that it seems impossible to be seen and validated as the gender you truly are inside. Or maybe the thought of taking steps toward change feels overwhelming and out of reach.
No matter what you’re going through, you may be starting to see how your discomfort is affecting every part of your life.
Feeling disconnected in relationships, worried that others won’t understand or accept the real you.
Constantly putting on a mask for the world, hiding your true self out of fear or uncertainty.
Feeling stuck, isolated, or lost, unsure of how to move forward or find peace within yourself.
Avoiding social situations or activities you once enjoyed, out of fear of judgment or discomfort in your own skin.
These feelings might be seeping into your daily life, making even simple tasks feel overwhelming. You may find yourself feeling isolated, anxious, or disconnected from the world around you. But it doesn't have to stay this way.
Gender therapy can help.
It may feel impossible now, but you can live authentically as the person you truly are. You can feel confident and at peace in your identity. You can build meaningful relationships where you are seen, heard, and accepted. And I can help you get there.
Gender therapy helps you:
Explore and understand your identity, clarifying what feels authentic to you.
Address the fears and challenges that are holding you back, whether they stem from past experiences or societal pressures.
Develop self-compassion and confidence, so you can move forward with greater ease and self-assurance.
So you can finally feel free to live as your most authentic self, creating a life that feels aligned with who you are inside.
I’ll guide you through this process, honoring your unique story and tailoring our work to fit your needs and goals. My approach to Gender Therapy comes from a place of compassion and respect: believing in your ability to define and embrace your own identity, and helping you navigate this journey with care and support.
You don’t have to live life feeling disconnected and uncertain about who you are. It’s time to embrace your true self and live with confidence and peace.
I can help you get there.

Gender therapy sessions are a space where you can explore your identity without judgment or pressure. Together, we’ll talk about your experiences, feelings, and any questions you have about your gender. While much of our work involves conversation, it’s not just about talking—I’ll guide you through reflective exercises and provide resources to support your journey. I work to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and in control of the process.

The length of therapy depends entirely on your needs and goals. Some people come for a few months to work through specific questions about their identity, while others stay longer to explore deeper issues and build a stronger sense of self. We’ll work at a pace that feels right for you, and you’ll always have the choice to decide how long we continue.

I understand that trusting a cisgender therapist with intimate details about your gender identity can be a significant concern. My connection to the queer and transgender community runs deep. I learned what it means to be queer within the vibrant queer and transgender circles of Los Angeles. For over two decades, I've worked alongside trans people toward trans liberation through social justice efforts and trans arts programming.
As the co-founder of one of the nation's first transgender film festivals and co-organizer in a trans art collective, I've dedicated myself to elevating trans voices and fostering a strong queer coalition. Many of the most important people in my life—friends, mentors, and loved ones—are transgender, and they have profoundly shaped my understanding and commitment to the community.
I'm continuously mindful of how cis privilege can influence perspectives, and I actively work to recognize and address it in myself. I stay engaged with the evolving dynamics of the community by reading, studying, and most importantly, listening to the voices of transgender individuals. My goal is to provide a safe, affirming space where you feel seen, heard, and respected.
